Ways to take IELTS
ON PAPER IELTS
In an authorized IELTS testing facility, test takers must sit at a desk with the question and answer sheets for the Reading, Listening, and Writing sections of the exam. Answers to the exam shall be written in either pen or HB pencils. An IELTS examiner who has received training administers the Speaking test face-to-face.
IELTS COMPUTER TESTS
The Reading, Listening, and Writing portions of this exam must be completed in front of a computer with the questions displayed on the screen in an authorized IELTS testing facility. The test-takers then utilize a keyboard and mouse to submit their answers. The Speaking examination is administered face-to-face with a certified IELTS examiner and is not computer-based.
